Amphawa is about 70km west of Bangkok, makes a popular day trip destination. It`s where we can find the autentic floating market which cuts through the canels of Amphawa . cafés, restaurants and wooden shop-houses selling souvenirs, books and Thai delicious sweets. Long-tail boats park along the two canal banks, ready to whip up a bowl of ‘boat noodles’, rice porridge, grilled squid and river prawns, to order. The long-tail boats leave at regular intervals for a two-hour scenic tour of the Mae Klong, dotted with stilt houses, fruit orchards and temples.

Besides the floating market, Amphawa’s picture riverside scenery, laid-back and rest in the balcony of waterfront boutique guesthouses.
